Audi Drive Shaft Allen Key. Must be a big one ! i'm looking to correctly torque the main driveshaft/hub bolt on a 55 plate 8pa, a3 tdi (bkd) sportback with dsg. i've got a driveshaft to change, does anyone know which tools i need ie allen keys etc, i've got jacks axle stands etc. the front axle does have a 17mm driveshaft bolt that secures the splines of the driveshaft the the hub /. does anyone know what size allen key socket i need for older style driveshaft nut please? the most difficult part of the job is breaking loose the 17mm allen axle bolt that holds the drive shaft to the hub. if you remove the wheel nut cover and the 'hub nut' in the center is not a 17mm hex bit type (allen key as i call it). hi,this is a video showing how to replace oil pump drive on audi a6 2007, same will be for a4.similar is on other 2.0.
